Spectra helps you track where you sit between two ends of a spectrum over time. Each spectrum has a left label, a right label, a category, and a check-in cadence.
How spectra work
Each check-in is recorded on a 0 to 10 scale. The middle value is balanced. Values closer to the left side mean you are leaning toward the left label, and values closer to the right side mean you are leaning toward the right label.
Using the home screen
- Open Spectra to see your visible spectra grouped by category.
- Tap a spectrum to view its current position, trend chart, and history.
- Tap the checklist button to start a check-in prompt.
- Tap the plus button to add a custom spectrum if Premium is unlocked.
- Use Settings to manage display options, prompts, reminders, visibility, categories, iCloud sync, and Premium access.
Viewing a spectrum
The spectrum detail screen shows the current position, latest note, trend over time, and previous check-ins. You can also update the spectrum category or cadence from this screen.
Adding a check-in
From a spectrum detail screen, tap the plus button, move the slider to your current position, optionally add a note, then save the check-in.
Due check-ins
Spectra uses each spectrum's cadence to decide when it is due for review. Cadence options include Daily, Weekly, Biweekly, Monthly, 3 Months, 6 Months, and 12 Months.
