Custom spectra let you track any two-sided question, habit, preference, or tendency that matters to you.
What you can customise
- Left label: The left end of the spectrum.
- Right label: The right end of the spectrum.
- Category: The group where the spectrum appears on the home screen.
- Cadence: How often Spectra should consider the spectrum due for a check-in.
- Starting position: The first saved value for the new spectrum.
Creating a custom spectrum
- Tap the plus button on the Spectra home screen.
- Enter a left label and right label.
- Choose a category.
- Choose a cadence.
- Set the starting position with the slider.
- Tap Save.
Managing categories
Premium users can add, rename, reorder, and delete categories. Category names must be unique and cannot be empty. A category cannot be deleted while spectra are still assigned to it, and Spectra must always keep at least one category.
Editing an existing spectrum
Open a spectrum to update its category or cadence. The history and previous check-ins remain attached to the spectrum.
Deleting or hiding spectra
You can delete a spectrum from the home screen context menu. If you want to keep its data but remove it from regular views, use Settings > Manage Spectrum Visibility and hide it instead.
